Hi, I'm Carrie, the owner of Blue and Gold Language.

YOUR PERSONAL AND CONTACT INFORMATION

I care about my own privacy, so I care about yours as well. When your information is requested on this website, it is for one of two reasons:

​

  1. To fulfill your order (including contacting you as needed about your order)

  2. To add you to my email list--but only if you specifically opt in

​

That's it. Information to fulfill your order includes your address for shipping you a physical product if your purchased one, and your email address for corresponding about your purchase, as well as to send you a link to a digital product if you purchased one. It also includes your payment information--more information about that below.

My email list is to share occasional updates and promotions for the Blue and Gold Language shop, and possibly to occasionally share a blog posts in the future. Your email will only be added if you specifically signed up for the email list. You won't be added just from making a purchase on this site or from filling out the contact form. And even when you do opt in to emails, you can opt out at any time. 

​

Besides the purposes listed above, I don't use your personal or contact information for anything, ever. I will never share it with anyone, ever. I will never sell your information. Doing so is gross, and shouldn't be legal.

YOUR PAYMENT INFORMATION

I do not have access to your credit card or other payment information when you submit it on this website.

 

This website is hosted by Wix.com, and payments are handled via Wix Payments. As listed on their website, this service includes data encryption and other security features--please take a look there if you are interested in more details.

COOKIES

I have done my best to minimize cookies on this website. As part of that effort, I have chosen to include a "decline all" option on my cookie policy banner. Cookies that are active on this site include functional cookies and analytic cookies set up by Wix.com, who hosts this website.

 

FUNCTIONAL COOKIES include cookies for security and anti-fraud purposes, for system monitoring and debugging functions, for stability, and (ironically) for remembering your cookies preference as set on the cookie policies banner. There is more information about them here

ANALYTIC COOKIES are used for Wix's integrated analytics tools. These tools collect and create anonymized reports on data including (but not limited to) visitors' geographic location and type of device, as well as website searches, transaction summaries, button clicks, page visits, where traffic originated (such as an organic search or from a marketing email link), number of unique visitors, and listing conversion rate.

I want you to be happy with your purchase! Feel free to reach out with any questions, issues, or even ideas for a product you don't see and would like to. Contact me via the website, or by emailing BlueAndGoldLanguage@gmail.com

DIGITAL PURCHASES

Digital products are available for instant download after purchase. You will receive a link to download this digital product in the thank-you page after checkout. You will also be emailed a link to download the item, which is valid for 30 days. I know sometimes it is difficult to figure out how to download a purchase, though, and am happy to help. I can email you the file directly, and can often provide different file types, as well.

​

Digital items often come in zipped files. If you are unfamiliar with this format, I encourage you to do a quick internet search, including the type of device you have, for instructions. Please note there can be issues handling zipped files on a cell phone--I strongly suggest downloading and unzipping the file on a computer. If you try these suggestions and are still having problems, please contact me!

A NOTE ABOUT PACKAGING

I ship items in minimal, secure packaging that utilizes reused packing materials. I don't include things like pretty tissue paper and custom backing cards--I just can't bear the thought of those kinds of things being enjoyed for a few seconds then thrown away (I'm sorry). The packaging is ugly, but I promise my actual products are beautiful.

SHIPPING

For physical items, you purchase will be shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS) within 1-3 business days. They are shipped with a tracking number so you can see their progress. 

​

SHIPPING PROBLEMS

I do everything I can to make sure your item gets to you safely and in a timely manner. That being said, once the package leaves my hands, it's in the care of the US Postal Service. If your item is damaged or lost in transit, please reach out to them. I will do everything I can to help in these situations, but these issues are ultimately the responsibility of USPS, and need to be resolved through them.

​

If your tracking number says the item has been delivered but you can't find it, I encourage you to check different places it could have been delivered (like a basement door or garage), and to check in with people like family members, roommates, a doorman, or neighbors. This actually seems to resolve the majority of these instances. 

​

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at time of purchase. I unfortunately am not able to replace items that were delivered to an address as entered that turned out to be incorrect. 

​

RETURNS

Because of the nature of digital purchases, I unfortunately am not able to offer refunds for these items. I encourage you to take your time reading the product listings, looking at images, and reaching out to me with any questions you may have before purchasing the item. 

​

For physical items, I am able to offer returns if you contact me within 14 days of the item being delivered as documented by the USPS tracking code. I will ask you to pay for return shipping. I can provide an exchange, but will again request you pay to ship the item.

​

ORDER MISTAKES

Despite my best efforts, I occasionally make a mistake when shipping an order. Please reach out as soon as possible if this happens so that I can fix it!
